Organic Waste Treatment (WS.3)

Description:

Imam AlKadhim University College generates organic waste primarily from its campus dining facilities and garden areas. The university has implemented a structured program for treating this organic waste, in collaboration with the local government authorities who handle the recycling and reuse processes. The program details are as follows:

  1. Organic waste is segregated at the source into designated bins placed strategically across the campus. These bins are categorized for different types of organic waste, such as food waste and garden waste.
  2. The segregated organic waste is collected by government agencies responsible for waste management. This waste is then transported to authorized treatment facilities where it undergoes processes such as composting or anaerobic digestion.
